JTF-DC Mission

The National Guard was activated Aug. 11 to support local and federal law enforcement efforts aimed at restoring order in the District of Columbia. The activation aligns with the President’s executive order declaring a crime emergency.

Geographic Representation
 
*States annotated with an asterisk (*) are providing National Guard support for Freedom 250 and associated summer events in the National Capital Region (NCR) from May through the end of August. This support is primarily focused on public safety, event support, and coordination with civil authority partners.
