D.C. National Guard to Host Law Enforcement Career Fair at D.C. Armory June 9

By Master Sgt. Arthur M. Wright | D.C. National Guard

Members of the District of Columbia National Guard will join more than 90 federal and local law enforcement agencies, first responders, training and higher education institutions, and resource organizations during the Law Enforcement Career Fair at the D.C. Armory on June 9, 2026.

Hosted by the D.C. National Guard, the multi-agency event is expected to connect thousands of attendees with career opportunities in public safety and public service throughout the National Capital Region and across Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and North Carolina.

Participants will have the opportunity to meet directly with recruiters and hiring officials, learn about career pathways, and receive information on training programs, educational opportunities, benefits, and professional development. Career fields represented will include law enforcement, forensics, information technology, finance, logistics, public affairs, vehicle maintenance, nursing, defense drug reduction programs, and other mission-support specialties.

Some participating agencies will also conduct on-the-spot hiring and recruiting activities, providing qualified candidates with opportunities to begin the employment process immediately.

“Any opportunity to support our interagency partners, particularly in law enforcement, is important to us.” said Brig. Gen. Leland D. Blanchard II, Commanding General (Interim) of the D.C. National Guard. “When you think about what the National Guard is about—serving our nation and our communities—it’s a natural fit, because we are members of those communities ourselves. I think it’s amazing to support those who defend us in our cities and across the nation. It’s a phenomenal opportunity to give back for what they do for us every day.”

Members of the general public can arrive anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Military personnel and spouses should arrive by 9 a.m. to take advantage of the early entry.

Media representatives are encouraged to attend the Law Enforcement Career Fair. All media coordination will be facilitated through jtf-dcmediadesk@army.mil
