The D.C. National Guard Family Programs office seeks to educate and empower service members and families to develop skills and encourage behaviors that strengthen self-reliance, promote retention and enhance readiness within the D.C. National Guard.
We accomplish that mission through collaboration and outreach, coordinating federal, state, and local resources, and through coordination with nonprofit organizations. Our staff works with service members and their families and unit family support staff to assess needs, form relationships with community service providers, and facilitate referrals to appropriate resources.
