Members of the District of Columbia National Guard’s Counterdrug Task Force, specifically the Drug Demand Reduction Outreach (DDRO) team, attend the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) 21st Prevention Day, Feb. 3, 2025, at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Oxon Hill, Md. The event brought together over 4,000 prevention practitioners, advocates, scientists, leaders, and consumers from across the nation for a pivotal day focused on advancing substance use prevention.

Lafrederick Conley, a culinary specialist with the 642nd Quartermaster Detachment, leads daily dining facility operations during Annual Training at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania, on Jun. 5, 2025. Culinary specialists and noncommissioned officers take pride in fueling the force, ensuring Soldiers receive the nutrition needed to sustain mission readiness.
