WASHINGTON, DC - Gen. Daniel R. Hokanson, Chief of the National Guard Bureau, visits with the District of Columbia National Guard on Aug. 5, in Washington, D.C. Hokanson provided direction to senior leaders, presented Soldiers with awards, toured facilities, and became more familiar with the day-to-day happenings within the D.C. National Guard.

U.S. National Guard servicemembers shout out their favorite National Football League teams in anticipation of the NFL season kick-off on Sep. 4, 2025. About 2,300 National Guard members are supporting the D.C. Safe and Beautiful mission providing critical support to the D.C.
