WASHINGTON, DC - Congratulations to the newly promoted Lt. Col. Michael A. Cox, Jr., commander of the 372nd Military Police Battalion and the Command Action Group (CAG) chief for the commanding general of the District of Columbia Army National Guard. Cox is a military police officer and Army strategist. Lt. Gen. Jon A. Jensen, director of the Army National Guard, hosted Cox’s ceremony at the National Guard Bureau. Cox was pinned with his new rank of lieutenant colonel by his family.

Lafrederick Conley, a culinary specialist with the 642nd Quartermaster Detachment, leads daily dining facility operations during Annual Training at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania, on Jun. 5, 2025. Culinary specialists and noncommissioned officers take pride in fueling the force, ensuring Soldiers receive the nutrition needed to sustain mission readiness.
