WASHINGTON - The 257th Army Band, D.C. Army National Guard, kicked off its annual summer concert series with a high-profile show at National Harbor, Aug. 2, 2023. The band will play several public shows in the National Capital Region as community outreach and to continue their tradition of military music excellence. This year's show, "E pluribus unum-- Out of Many, One" highlights the wide range of sounds in American music, as well as "You're the Voice" by Australian artist John Farnham.

U.S. Soldiers with Joint Task Force – District of Columbia participate in cleanup of littered sites around areas in D.C. designated by city and federal partners during late August, 2025. About 2,300 National Guard members are supporting the D.C. Safe and Beautiful mission Task Force providing critical support to the D.C.
