A 'speed of trust' event was conducted by Army Chaplain (Col.) Bobby Patton, command chaplain, to initiate discussion about organizational trust.
Patton led a series of activities that the participating leaders can share with the Soldiers and Airmen in their units. Encouraged actions to build trust were: be straight with people, demonstrate respect (paramount), have self-awareness, create transparency, take responsibility for your actions or inactions, show appropriate loyalty, give credit where credit is due, and be a lifelong learner. Patton emphasized that a lack of these things can erode trust, and with trust may come change.
"Remember, there is only one person in this world you can change," said Patton.
