I had people tell me the Army was not for women, especially dainty women like me. Knowing that women, especially African American women that were before me, heard this same discouragement made me push even harder while training to ensure I achieved success. As I advance in my military career, it makes me speak and act confidently knowing that the military was for me." We celebrate #WomensHistoryMonth!
