WASHINGTON - Partnership is everything: Capital Guardians and Washington Metropolitan Police Dept. officer stand ready at their designated traffic control point. The Guardsmen are assisting with traffic control teams using vehicles as barriers in and around the summit. This includes assisting police with street closures at multiple intersections to provide safety at pedestrian areas. Capital Guardians are also supporting DC Fire And EMS with its trained Civil Support Team (CST) personnel. The CST is supporting all hazards response and positioned at several checkpoints. Capital Guardians are helping to ensure people can attend the summit peacefully and safely.
