As we close out Fiscal Year 2022 and the end of our Recruiting year … We would like to recognize one of our very own for her extraordinary accomplishment as a recruiter these past years.
SSG Jermaine Denee Bowens was awarded the Chief 54 as the top production Recruiter of the Year for the District of Columbia Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion Fiscal Year 2021. SSG Bowens was recognized along with 53 other recruiters for their outstanding achievement in 2021. She earned her master’s badge in two years, accomplished 150% of her mission, while simultaneously working as the Marketing NCO (the woman behind our social media pages), as well as, successfully attending classes all this during unprecedented times. 
Join us in this delayed congratulations to the District of Columbia Army National Guard’s Recruiter of the Year, SSG Jermaine Denee Bowens!!!

U.S. Army Spc. Lafrederick Conley, a culinary specialist with the 642nd Quartermaster Detachment, leads daily dining facility operations during Annual Training at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania, on Jun. 5, 2025. Culinary specialists and noncommissioned officers take pride in fueling the force, ensuring Soldiers receive the nutrition needed to sustain mission readiness. Throughout Annual Training, elements of the 74th Troop Command executed live-fire ranges and field exercises in a scalable Large Scale Combat Operations environment. (U.S. Army video by Sgt.
