Are you interested in a career as an Officer in the DC Army National Guard?

The District of Columbia Army National Guard (DCARNG) Officer Candidate School (OCS) provides the necessary skills and training for you to commission as a Second Lieutenant in the DCARNG. These skills are also in high demand and are transferrable in the civilian employment sector.

If you are interested in applying for candidacy, talk to your Unit Commanders. Below are the Basic Requirements needed for consideration and acceptance to the OCS Program:

- Current DCARNG Soldier

- GT Score of 110 or higher (ASVAB)

- At least 90 college credits

- Having or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

- U.S. citizen to commission

- Must be medically qualified

- Pass the Army Combat Fitness Test

- Meet HT/WT in accordance with AR 600-9 (Marginal tape test not acceptable)

- Minimum age of 18 and Maximum age 42 at commissioning
