Maryland Task Force 1 (MD-TF1) and Virginia Task Force 1 (VA-TF1) of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FMEA) train during an Urban Search and Rescue Task Force exercise, at Montgomery County Airpark and Public Safety Training Academy (PSTA), Feb. 15, 2024. The training represents a new partnership for members of the D.C. National Guard’s Aviation Detachment, nicknamed District Dustoff, designed to improve interoperability and familiarity between partners involved in disaster response in the DMV.

Guard members returned from a nine-month deployment to Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, providing financial management support to Kosovo Forces assigned to the NATO peacekeeping mission.

Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) teams from a dozen D.C. metropolitan area schools competed in the 2024 JROTC “Best of the Best” Drill Competition at the D.C. Armory, Jan. 27, 2024. The regional qualifier is a collaboration between D.C. Public Schools, D.C. Government Operations, and the D.C. National Guard.

Standardized measurements ensure weapons systems from aircraft to mission-critical vehicles operate safely and effectively.

Army National Guard are briefed by members of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) during a State Partnership Program visit to the Caribbean Military Academy (CMA), Dec. 12-14, 2023. D.C. Guard members participated in an NCO Career Development Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) which included reviewing training, promotions, leadership, duties and responsibilities of NCOs with JDF’s Jamaica Regiment, Support Brigade, and the Martitime, Air and Cyber Command (MACC).
