Counterdrug Program

Live here. Work here. Serve here.

The D.C. National Guard Counterdrug Program conducts a full-spectrum campaign that bridges the gap between Department of Defense (DoD) and non-DoD institutions in the fight against illicit drugs and transnational threats to the Homeland. The program centers around three pillars:

1. To Assist community-based organizations to better educate the community.

2. To Assist in criminal intelligence gathering and information sharing.

3. To Disrupt the drug market by supporting arrest operations.

The counterdrug program accomplishes this by conducting aerial reconnaissance, providing support to various District and federal law enforcement agencies and providing enhanced criminal analyst and linguist support to law enforcement agencies. The program also assists the unit in its monthly personnel drug testing program. Annually, the program has assisted law enforcement agencies in the seizure of drug assets valued at over $10 million.
