This year, the District of Columbia National Guard (DCNG) chaplain corps hosted the Strong Bonds program at Great Wolf Lodge, Va. The core mission of the program is to increase individual Soldier and family member readiness through relationship education and skills.
Over the weekend, Chaplain (Capt.) Kelly Wilkins, Chaplain (Capt.) Edward Lartey, Chaplain (1st Lt.) Leonard Wrigley, and Master Sgt. Gary James, religious affairs NCOIC, supported more than 30 Soldiers and families as they navigated through hands-on collaborative activities which enhance communication and understanding of self and loved ones.
Brig. Gen. Robert K. Ryan, land component commander, DCNG, kicked off the program welcoming the attendees and providing tokens of appreciation to the chaplains.
