Colonel Tunstall I. Wilson currently serves as the Director of Strategic Plans and Joint Training at the Joint Forces Headquarters, D.C. National Guard (DCNG). He is responsible for the development of the organization’s strategic plans, strategic partnerships, outreach, engagements and joint training exercises to ensure DCNG effectively respond to Federal and District missions. His key leadership assignments include Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, G4; Director of Personnel, J1; Deputy Direct of Human Resource Office; Surface Maintenance Division Chief, G4; Joint Task Force 57th Presidential Inauguration; Deputy Chief of Staff, Logistics District of Columbia Army National Guard; Director of Logistics, J4; and Director of Finance, J8 – Afghanistan Regional Security Integration Command Central (ARSIC-C), Operation Enduring Freedom; Supply and Services Division Chief, U.S. Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO). He also served as the Acting Deputy Director of USPFO; Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist, USPFO, District of Columbia, Army National Guard; 74th Troop Command, Plans and Operations Officer, Assistant S3, S2/S3, 74th Troop Command, Command, 104th Maintenance Company Commander; Mobilization Augmentation Command, Legislative Liaison, District of Columbia National Guard.
Colonel Wilson is a career logistician and a strategic plans and policy officer. He was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from the University of Alabama and a Master of Science Degree, in acquisition management from Webster University. His military education include the Command General Staff College, U.S. Army Quartermaster Advance Course, USA Quartermaster School, Ordnance Advance Course and the Adjutant General Advance Course. Colonel Wilson holds life memberships in the National Guard Association of the United States, National Guard Association of the District of Columbia and the Association of the United States Army. He also served as the President of the Chief of Staff Association, United States House of Representative and is a member of the Board of Directors, Alabama Department Youth Services.
