District of Columbia National Guard senior leaders release professional reading list

District of Columbia National Guard Public Affairs

With the start of a New Year, resolutions focused on professional development can be enhanced with the new District of Columbia National Guard’s Professional Reading List.

Crafted by DCNG senior leaders and senior enlisted leadership, the list is a catalog of professional development tools designed to inform, inspire and educate Soldiers and Airmen of all ranks in the DCNG.

For Maj. Gen. William J. Walker, DCNG Commanding General, professional reading is an important component of development and continues to be vital as members of our military uphold Army and Air Force initiatives today and prepare for tomorrow.

Self-improvement should be an ongoing process that continues throughout an individual's career, and professional reading is a key element to growing and cultivating knowledge.

The reading list covers topics from professional development and personal experiences to strategy and other military topics.
