WASHINGTON - Jamaica leaders visited D.C. National Guard (DCNG) leaders at the DCNG Armory as a part of their state partnership program (SPP) engagement initiative. Nicola Barker-Murphy, deputy chief of mission for the Embassy of Jamaica, Washington, D.C., and Gloria Davis Simpson, security Attache for Jamaica, joined Maj. Gen. Sherrie L. McCandless, commanding general, Command Sgt. Maj. Ronald L. Smith, command senior enlisted leader, and Lt. Col. Serge Mettes, SPP director, DCNG, to discuss the partnership, continued vision and ways forward for the program. Jamaica is the longest of two state partners the D.C. National Guard has. The partnership began in 1999.
